Kosovo’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Bajram Hasani, said in an interview to the news website that Kosovo will have seven priorities during its presidency of CEFTA, among which are developing trade without barriers between members states and the region’s economic development. “We have officially received the presidency of CEFTA in Brussels. Kosovo has a special responsibility because it leads with seven member states. We have set out seven priorities. Kosovo will also head seven sub-committees … The implementation of our priorities for the region’s economic development will require a joint work with other member states … Our focus will be to facilitate trade among CEFTA member states,” he said. Hasani said he will convene a meeting at the level of CEFTA ministers in Pristina and that the Serbian minister will also be invited. “I believe he will accept the invitation the same way we attended the meeting held in Belgrade,” Hasani added.
