Deputy Prime Minister of Ksoovo, Enver Hoxhaj, welcomed the signing of the agreement between the Presidents of Kosovo and Montenegro, which opens way to ratification of the agreement on demarcation of the border with Montenegro, signed in 2015.

“The celebration of independence gets another meaning today after the news on signing the joint statement of the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci and that of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, for solving the demarcation issue. A right denied to all citizens of the country for three years now, is returning to open way to our visa-free movement in Europe this year. Personally, I have been engaged with my whole being during these years for such a barrier not to exist. Happy and thankful that we agreed with our Montenegrin friends these last days for signing this declaration which will open the way the the Kosovo Assembly to ratify the demarcation agreement and close this subject as soon as possible,” Hoxhaj wrote .
