Principal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, reacted to Serbian media allegations about a new proposal which would ensure Kosovo the status of the observing member at the United Nations.
“I notice that Serbian media continue with the propaganda of Serbia’s governing courtyard, unfortunately also through the Kosovo media, reporting about alleged new proposals for our country at the UN.
Serbs and all the others that are aware of procedural process for membership at the UN, know very well that Kosovo, with its number of recognitions, does not have problems to ensure this status even if it applies for it within this year.
Therefore, the only sustainable and long-term solution for Kosovo, the region, EU and international community, is Kosovo’s complete membership at the United Nations and its recognition by Serbia.
