Kosovo Police general director, Shpend Maxhuni said during his annual reporting at the Assembly committee for internal affairs and security that that yesterday’s action to arrest Marko Djuric was completely legal and that Kosovo Police possesses capacities to defend territorial integrity of Kosovo.
He said that the arrest was made based on the government decision and that the action was completely legal.
Kosovo Assembly MP Rexhep Selimi asked Maxhuni if the Police commander in the north refused yesterday’s action to arrest Djuric in the north. However, Maxhuni stressed with full competency that there was no rejection of orders by Kosovo Police commander in the north.
Maxhuni further praised the work of Kosovo Police during 2017, saying that it prevented many negative and concerning occurrences for Kosovo.
