Director of Serbian Police, Vladimir Rebic met yesterday with Interpol President Meng Hongwei and Secretary General Jurgen Stock, and emphasized during the talks that Serbia insists on its territorial integrity and that membership of Kosovo in this organization would neither be in interest of Serbia nor Interpol, Serbian media reported.

“Serbia is committed to implementing and respecting the international law and regulations and I as the Ministry of Interior representative requested that all individuals listed on international arrest warrants and wanted by Serbian judiciary bodies are unconditionally returned to the Interpol system,” Rebic said.

Rebic leads the Serbian Government delegation, comprising of representatives of the Minister of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian media further reported.

“We would talk to all Interpol members in order to persuade them that possible accession of the so-called Kosovo to Interpol would neither be in interest of Serbia nor Interpol,” Rebic added.
