Blue vehicles with EU plates are becoming fewer each day in the Pristina parking lot of the European Union Rule-of-Law Mission in Kosovo, as it continues to downsize rapidly in the concluding months of its decade-long tenure in the country.

Since last year, EULEX has made various donations of 4×4 vehicles and other equipment to Kosovo institutions “in support of capacity-building initiatives and implementation of best practices” as it offloads whatever it can’t take with it when it goes.

But it’s not only the cars that are changing hands.

Inside the premises, EULEX officials are in process of handing over documents while staff contracts are running out.
