Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, said Kosovo’s main challenge remains integration and membership at the UN and some other international organizations. Pacolli also said at the “Kosovo’s foreign policy: priorities and challenges” roundtable organized by Pristina Institute of Political Studies (PIPS), that another challenge remains Serbia’s objection of the independence of Kosovo. He said that Kosovo is currently facing unseen aggressiveness of Serbia.

He stressed that hard work and lobbying with the countries that have already recognized Kosovo, is required. Pacolli added that another remaining challenge is lobbying at the countries which have not recognized Kosovo, which are being told by Serbia that Kosovo is not a state, and added that it takes a lot of time to explain to them the created reality.

Among the other challenges Pacolli mentioned politics’ involvement on the diplomatic service of Kosovo.

He mentioned the dialogue with Serbia as yet another challenge and added that he is a great opponent of those who claim that there is nothing to be discussed with Serbia.
