France is “irritated” with Belgrade lobbying that more countries in the world withdraw recognitions of Kosovo and they did not hide their “scandalous intent,” to send protest notes to the countries which do so, from Serbia’s representative in the United Nations.
This is according to Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti. The daily also wrote Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said yesterday he has information that one permanent UN SC member state and influential member of the EU intends to send a protest note to every state that withdraws recognition of Kosovo in the future.
“Is it Serbia expected to work against itself? What they have to do with those who will recognize (Kosovo) or not, (…)?” Dacic wondered.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs during Yugoslav time, Vladislav Jovanovic told Novosti daily, if Dacic spoke about France, then one should not be surprised over their actions, since Paris wants to please America with which “it dances a wedding tango.”
“America established special relations with France, and our historic friendship with France was short-living and it was not that unselfish with the support it offered us as an ally,” Jovanovic added.
