The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) said today its MPs will not be part of the delegation led by Assembly President Kadri Veseli that will lobby for visa liberalization in several European countries. “The LDK parliamentary group will not join the Assembly President’s touristic – lobbying tour because we don’t think we can get visa liberalization through such actions,” the LDK said in a statement. “As leader of the party in the ruling coalition, the Assembly President must ensure that the Government meets its obligations for Kosovo’s European integration agenda. We want to inform the public that the LDK parliamentary group has received no official note from the Assembly President for the purposes of this travel, the agenda and other important details … Such travels are unnecessary use of public funds and send an unclear message to EU member states”.
