The British Embassy in Kosovo said today that calls for border adjustments in the Balkans can bring instability. “We believe calls for adjusting national borders can be destabilizing,” the Embassy said in a written reply to Radio Free Europe. “As we have always made it clear, the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is crucial for security, stability and prosperity of both countries and the region as a whole … The British Government believes this should be the basis of recognition of independent countries in their current borders. We continue to support the EU-facilitated dialogue aimed at finding a comprehensive and sustainable solution that would benefit both countries”.
