Kosovo Police has begun implementing operational plan to stop movement of vehicles without or expired license plates in the north of Kosovo as of today. Radio Free Europe reports that such vehicles make around 30 percent of the total number of cars in the north. Head of Kosovo Police operations department for the north, Zeljko Bojic, said the citizens have been so far receptive to the decision. At the same time, the leadership of four municipalities in the north has issued a joint statement in support of the police operation.
