The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, held a press conference upon his return from the United States of America. He said visa liberalization is in hands of Kosovo and added that all standards have been met. He stressed that no one has the right to endanger the visa liberalisation process and noted that visa liberalization is a merit of all.
Speaking about transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into an army, Thaci said that this process has entered its final phase and requires endorsement of three draft laws. He said that “we have reached so far with strong partnership with the U.S. and it will be continued in this manner.”
“These forces are and will remain the pride of our population, which will guarantee peace and stability in the region. Therefore, the President of the Assembly of Kosovo Kadri Veseli, should proceed with the regular manner of transforming KSF into an army. This is a process that will unite us all,” he said.
President Thaçi has held a series of meetings in the framework of the UN General Assembly’s annual session, where he has asked for support from world leaders to increase recognition for Kosovo as well as membership in international organizations.
