Prior and during “the storming” by the Kosovo special police units ROSU of Gazivode, there were three KFOR drones flying in the sky of Kosovo and Metohija, Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti writes today.

According to the daily, one of the drones covered directly the north of the province, so Belgrade excludes possibility that KFOR did not know about Hashim Thaci’s operation.

The daily further said this cast doubts on claims of the international forces that they were not informed about the visit, while it is their obligation to inform Serbian officials should such moves occur in the northern Kosovo.

According to the source from security structures, special police members from Pristina in details checked the ground for two and a half hours prior to Thaci’s arrival.

“There were 12 snipers deployed in the wider area, while more than 100 heavily armed police members entered the area around hydro-power plant. So KFOR stories they did not know what was happening are laughable,” the source told Vecernje Novosti.
