Teams for the technical dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia have not met in Brussels since March of this year. According to Lajmi.net, the main reason for this boycott was the Serbian party, which did not manage to implement agreements with Kosovo, such as the agreement for energy. However, their justification was that they will not continue with discussions if the agreement on Association of Serb-majority Municipalities is not implemented.

Head of the Kosovo team in the technical dialogue with Serbia, Avni Arifi, told Lajmi.net that this dialogue died at that moment the Serbian party refused to implement the remaining agreements.

“The technical dialogue is dead from the moment when it was Serbian party’s turn to implement the remaining agreements. The Serbian party, with approval of Brussels, blocked it since March,” Arfi said.

“Serbia’s behavior at the technical dialogue showed that they are not interested on the dialogue at all, instead they are interested to deceive everyone as if they are peaceful. However, in fact it is the same Serbia of the nineties,” Arifi said.

He said Aleksandar Vucic’s government is continuance of Slobodan Milosevic and added that Vucic is trying to achieve what Milosevic could not. “But he is doing this by using another method,” Arifi said.
