Fatmir Limaj, leader of the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA) and Deputy Prime Minister, commented on the draft resolution proposed by institutional leaders regarding dialogue with Serbia saying its aim is to unify political spectrum in Kosovo. Speaking to reporters during a visit to the martyrs’ cemetery in the village of Marine, Limaj said the resolution has been prepared in response to concerns towards President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci’s idea of negotiating border changes with Serbia. “This draft resolution practically encompasses concerns of all political groups,” Limaj said adding that the document explicitly states that no one has mandate to negotiate what is not contained in the Constitution of Kosovo, including Kosovo’s territory. He further called on all parliamentary parties to support the resolution at the Assembly adding that if the opposition considers the document needs to undergo certain changes, they would be open to considering them.
