Kosovo Police (KP) said today it has arrested eight people in relation to the attack on a bus of Serb pilgrims in Istog last weekend, the news website reports. The KP directorate for the Peja region informed that a group of 170 Serb pilgrims got the permit from the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a two-day stay in Kosovo and to visit the Decan Monastery, the Peja Patriarchy and the village of Studenica. Police said there were no incidents during the visit, but as the buses were leaving the village of Studenica, unknown persons threw stones at the buses. “Under police escort, the visitors left in safety and without injuries, first toward Istog and then after legal procedures proceeded with their agenda towards Mitrovica … Following the investigations, on October 22, police accompanied 11 persons from Istog to the police station, five of which were arrested for breaking public law order,” police said in a statement.
