Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) parliamentary group chief, Avdullah Hoti, said in his address at the Kosovo Assembly today that the idea for border correction came from Moscow and Belgrade. Hoti said President Hashim Thaci’s initiative is damaging Kosovo’s statehood. “The territory of Kosovo is one and inseparable. Neither the President nor anyone else has the mandate to negotiate on Kosovo’s borders … At a time when we should be more united, the idea for border correction has weakened us,” he said. Hoti further argued that Thaci wants to reach a deal with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic, without any coordination or mediation from the EU and the U.S.
