Former European Union Envoy for Kosovo, Wolfgang Petritsch, said it was important that Kosovo and Serbia Presidents, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, attended the ceremony marking the anniversary of the end of World War I in Paris. “I hope that the two of them from this ceremony send a message that only a united Europe can address Balkan issues that continue to torture the region. In order for this to become a reality, it is necessary for the two to come to a historic compromise on the last remaining historical conflict, which will put an end to the First World War,” the Austrian diplomat said.
