Association of missing persons in Podujeve/Podujevo has reacted to the government of Kosovo’s decision to impose a 100 percent tax on goods imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina saying it gives a glimmer of hope to the families of missing persons in the search for their loved ones. “Although the families of missing persons have continuously requested international and local institutions put pressure on Serbia to reveal the location of the missing persons, such a pressure was not used until now. The tax on Serbia’s goods gives a glimmer of hope for the families of missing persons in that this will be a good opportunity for the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to demand from the state of Serbia to find the missing persons,” the statement issued by the association reads.
