Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ekrem Mustafa said they remain committed in supporting the Kosovo Police carrying out its constitutional duties in the field of law enforcement. In a Facebook post, Mustafa said that on the order of the Kosovo Special Prosecution, the Kosovo Police arrested several persons suspected of involvement in the murder of Kosovo Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic. According to Mustafa, the arrests were not made on the basis of the suspects’ ethnic or religious background but on the suspicion they committed criminal acts. “It is very important for these actions to be entrusted only to Kosovo justice mechanisms and in no way become politicised in an attempt to avert justice,” Mustafa wrote.
