Four mayors of northern municipalities with Serb-majority have called today an extraordinary meeting which proceeded with resignation of the Mitrovica North mayor Goran Rakic.
According to portal Kosev, except for Rakic’s resignation, counselors of the four municipalities, who were present at the meeting, signed a resolution which requests interruption of all contacts with official Pristina.
Rakic’s resignation is reported to have arrived as consequence of recent developments and arrest of individuals suspected for Oliver Ivanovic’s murder.
Deputy leader of the Serbian List Milan Radojcic is also being sought by Kosovo Police.
Rakic’s resignation was followed by an ovation of hand clapping, and after it, the resolution text for interruption of the communication with Pristina was read.
