Pristina-based attorney Tome Gashi said in an interview to the paper today that it is now evident that the specialist chambers will start their work in 2019. “We don’t have the concrete names of suspects of the specialist chambers, except that everything was initiated following the Dick Marty report,” Gashi said. “There may be political changes if the special court summons as suspects senior political officials, because in that event they will no longer be able to perform their functions from The Hague. It depends who will be targeted by the special court”. Gashi also said that the office of the specialist prosecutor will not reveal any witnesses because their testimonies are confidential.
