President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci signed in a solemn ceremony today three draft laws on transition of the Kosovo Security Force into army. Thaci signed the laws in the presence of KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama and other KSF members and said on the occasion: “I would like to thank international supporters, the U.S. and other ally countries, for this important day of formalizing Kosovo Army through the promulgation of the Law on Ministry of Defence approved by the Assembly of Kosovo on 14 December 2018 and received by the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo on 26 December 2018. This decree enters into force on the date of signature. Once again, congratulations Army of Kosovo.”
