Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, met today with foreign diplomats to discuss developments in the rule of law area and the package of anti-corruption laws. Haradinaj said Kosovo must step up efforts to unify the agenda for integration in the final phase of the visa liberalization process. “Economic development, as a priority of the government in 2019, is closely linked to the rule of law and the prosecution of penal acts that impair this development. Kosovo has open doors to foreign investors and it has made progress in guaranteeing the safety of their capital,” Haradinaj said. He also said that police, prosecution and courts have been equipped with additional competencies and laws have been amended for a more efficient fight against organized crime and corruption. “We will not allow corruption to impair our development. Kosovo has the capacity and courage to address complex cases and to make sure that no one is above the law”.
