Avdullah Hoti, head of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) parliamentary group, said today that the government of Kosovo is using the import tax on Serbia as a coverup for its failures. “The tax has become a key to hiding problems. Except for the tax, this government has nothing to offer to its citizens,” Hoti said. He also voiced criticism of the Kosovo negotiating team for dialogue with Serbia saying the more often the team meets, the more the dialogue becomes unclear. Hoti also spoke about the ongoing teachers strike and blamed the government’s approach to it. “The government needs to cancel its own pay raise. Another solution could be to sit down and rewrite the law on salaries. The strike is only deepening,” Hoti warned.
