Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said today all those claiming that the 100-percent tariff on Serbian goods is damaging Kosovo’s relations with the United States of America are wrong.  Haradinaj said Kosovo would not lift the tax unless Serbia recognizes its independence. “Nations that have aligned with the U.S. have created the free world and we have achieved our objective – freedom. Every Albanian, here, in other lands and in the diaspora, sees the U.S. as their family … Those who are rushing to interpret our actions as ruining relations are wrong. When you stand in the face of Russia, you cannot ruin your relations with the U.S.” Haradinaj also said that “the tariff was not aimed against the U.S., but against Russia”. “Russia and Serbia have invested money to withdraw recognitions of Kosovo’s independence,” he claimed.
