Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Ɖuric and Deputy Mayor of the City of Belgrade Goran Vesic will sign today the Protocol on Cooperation between the Belgrade city municipalities and municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija, Radio Mitrovica reports.

The Protocol stipulates that the Office for Kosovo and Belgrade city would coordinate and provide ongoing necessary assistance and support to the municipalities, aiming to directly and sustainable improve living standards of citizens in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, in accordance with identified needs and development priorities.

Mutual cooperation between the municipalities would be implemented in areas of culture, arts, health and social care, education, economic development as well as infrastructure. After signing the Protocol on Cooperation between the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the City of Belgrade, bilateral cooperation protocols will be signed by the representatives of 19 local self-government in Kosovo and Metohija and 15 urban municipalities, Radio Mitrovica reported.
