Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration Dhurata Hoxha told a press conference in Pristina today that she has no information that the European Union has conditioned visa liberalization for Kosovo with the removal of the 100-percent import tariff on Serbian and Bosnian goods. “We don’t have official information that the tax removal has been linked to visa liberalization for Kosovars,” she said. Hoxha however said that the issue of the tax was mentioned in a recent meeting she had with ministers of the Western Balkans. She also said that the U.S. are strongly calling for the tax to be rescinded.
