Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Vjosa Osmani, told the news website that Kosovo and Serbia Presidents, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, are believed to have drafted a 12-point document for the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, and that they have reportedly agreed in principle. The European Union is also believed to have taken part in the drafting process. According to Osmani, the document includes the border correction issue, the Trepca mining complex and several other issues related to heritage. “In diplomatic circles there is talk about a one-page document, a principle agreement, that will address the border correction, the churches, Trepca and other issues,” she said. Osmani further argued that the document will never be sent for ratification to the Kosovo Assembly, same as the 2013 agreement between Thaci and Dacic. “It is being said that the attached document, which treats these issues in detail, will not be sent for ratification in the Kosovo Assembly, but only the principle agreement. More or less the same happened in 2013 with the agreement between Thaci and Dacic, which included the basic principles, but the implementation agreements were never sent to the Assembly for ratification”. The document, she added, “is a product of negotiations between the two presidents, at times with the mediation of the European Union”.
