AAK chairmanship deals final blow to coalition bloc?! (Gazeta Blic)
It seems that the chairmanship of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has dealt the final blow to the coalition bloc consisting of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the AAK, the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) and the Vetevendosje Movement. The AAK issued a press release after the meeting saying that the coalition bloc would fall apart if Ramush Haradinaj is not supported as candidate for the post of Prime Minister. “The 10 June agreement cannot be held hostage by unilateral actions of any member of the coalition. Moreover, the full responsibility for the eventual failure of the 10 June agreement will fall on that political party and its leadership,” the AAK press release said. Sources within the LDK told Gazeta Blic that Isa Mustafa’s party is not likely to give up the Prime Minister post. “There is tremendous pressure from party structures for Isa Mustafa to be Prime Minister. The managing structures will decide in the next couple of days how to proceed,” the source said.
