Government sends SAA to the Assembly (Kosovapress)

The government of Kosovo discussed in its meeting today the draft law for ratification of the Stabilization Association Agreement between Kosovo and the European Union. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that they are submitting the SAA draft law to the Assembly in order to be proceeded as soon as possible and for Kosovo to move faster in the integrating processes.

Minister for Integration, Bekim Collaku, presented the draft law to the governing cabinet, saying that SAA is the grounds of Kosovo’s membership at the EU. According to him, this agreement formalizes the dialogue between Kosovo and the EU, by establishing in Kosovo the Council for Stabilization Association, committees for stabilization association, sub-committees as well as parliamentary committees for stabilization association.

He once again stressed the importance of this Agreement for economy, saying that “we will have an open trade, liberalization of trade for EU products as well as export of Kosovo’s goods to this market.
