Vetevendosje Movement MP, Rexhep Selimi, said that except for the people of Kosovo, Serbian agents tapped significant international personalities in Kosovo, to provide information to Russian intelligence.

Selimi, who is also member of the Committee for Internal Affairs at the Assembly of Kosovo, said that the commission treated this issue in the past, after the proceeding of the Law on Electronic Tapping. “We mentioned that additional actors tap and have access to tapping citizens. So even at that time we gave the information that excluding Kosovo’s Intelligence Agency and Kosovo’s state authorities, the current infrastructure allows other actors to tap,” Selimi said.

According to Selimi, Kosovo should be better protected from illegal tapping. “Now that a Serbian operator has been allowed in Kosovo through different antennas, it will be even easier for Serbia to pursue such actions,” Selimi said.
