Religious leaders appeal for dialogue (Indeksoline)

Religious leaders of the Catholic Church, Islamic Community of Kosovo and the Protestant Church held today a joint press conference where they invited the political specter to sit around table and find a solution to overcome the current situation.

Bishop of Kosovo, Dode Gjergji said their intention is for all the good-willing people to call upon their reason and understanding, for dialogue and for building the future for the children of all Kosovo citizens.

“No one should threaten the other with the strenght of the population or power, but with the strength of the dialogue,” Dode Gjergji said.

Mufti Naim Ternava invited the political specter to find the strength and courage for unity in order to overcome the created situation. “We have appealed and will continue to appeal to the population for tolerance and humanism among themselves. I will use this occasion to invite the political specter of Kosovo to find the courage, strength, knowledge, vision, and to find acting unity to overcome our current situation,” Ternava said.

Driton Krasniqi from the Protestant Church said their joint appearance has for intention to convey message of peace for all people.
