Kosovo authorities send back Serbian trucks (Koha)
Kosovo’s customs authorities told Radio Free Europe that they have sent back a truck traveling from Serbia to Kosovo. Adriatik Stavileci, spokesman for the Kosovo Customs, said this comes as a result of a decision made by Kosovo authorities to introduce reciprocity measures against Serbia on oil and gas transport. “Yesterday at the border crossing point in Merdare we have sent back the first truck that was traveling from Serbia to Kosovo,” Stavileci said. The news site notes that the Kosovo Ministry of Trade and Industry signed the decision on reciprocity measures after Serbian authorities refused to recognize the certificates of Kosovar drivers and vehicles that transport dangerous material.
