RTS crew held up at Jarinje crossing allowed to enter Kosovo, UNS condemns delayed entry (KoSSev, RTS)

A large group of RTS crew members travelling to Mitrovica North was held up at Jarinje crossing point yesterday RTS reported. According to RTS its convoy with equipment has been waiting at Jarinje for 20 hours despite paperwork dully submitted. After the delay the convoy entered Kosovo.

Meanwhile, KoSSev portal reports that both Kosovo police and customs claimed they are “not responsible.“

Kosovo Customs begins implementing the decision on additional tax on Serbian goods (RTS)

Radio Television Serbia reports that Adriatik Stavileci, Kosovo customs spokesman told the media in Pristina that Kosovo Customs Service has begun to apply the decision of the Kosovo government on additional taxation of 10 percent for imports of products from central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Stavileci say that this is a volume of goods worth hundreds of millions of euros during the year.

EULEX will not monitor Customs any more (Koha)

On the occasion of the conclusion of the supervision and monitoring of the Kosovo Customs, the Customs director, Lulëzim Rafuna and Acting EULEX Chief, held a press conference, where they assessed that supervision of the Customs by foreign missions since 1999, ends today, but cooperation with EULEX on management of the integrated borders will continue in the future.

Rafuna expressed appreciation to the EULEX mission as well as to the U.S. people who made many investments on Customs with their tax money.

Kosovo authorities send back Serbian trucks (Koha)

Kosovo’s customs authorities told Radio Free Europe that they have sent back a truck traveling  from Serbia to Kosovo. Adriatik Stavileci, spokesman for the Kosovo Customs, said this comes as a result of a decision made by Kosovo authorities to introduce reciprocity measures against Serbia on oil and gas transport. “Yesterday at the border crossing point in Merdare we have sent back the first truck that was traveling from Serbia to Kosovo,” Stavileci said.

Kosovo Customs confiscated the vehicle of the Director of the Pristina National Theatre, Nenad Todorovic in Knic village, near Mitrovica.

A press conference was organized today in Gracanica's cultural centre, in order to draw the public's attention to the daily administrative problems of Serbs in Kosovo.
