Hoxhaj: Turkish investments in Kosovo more a myth than reality (Klan Kosova)
Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj said for Klan Kosova TV that Turkey’s investments in Kosovo and Balkans are more a myth than a reality. “EU is the greatest economic partner of Kosovo. Most services and donations come from the EU. Then, except for the U.S., Germany is the biggest donor,” Hoxhaj said, denying that only Turkey invests in Kosovo. “If we check statistics, our greatest investment was IPKO from Slovenia. Therefore Turkish investments in Kosovo and Balkans are more a sort of myth than a reality,” Hoxhaj said. He however stressed that Turkey has always supported Kosovo.
Speaking about the visit of the Albanian PM Edi Rama in Belgrade, and his announcements about Trepça, Hoxhaj said that there was a coordination between Tirana and Pristina, there is a coordination and it will always be. “Kosovo is an independent state, but our coordination with Albania is excellent and on daily basis,” Hoxhaj said. He however admitted that there was a concern with regards to the speed with which Albania is moving towards Serbia.
Speaking about the wall at Ibër Bridge in Mitrovica, Hoxhaj said that the government and the opposition should unite “to undo” the wall. “The wall is unacceptable, be it 50 centimeters or one meter,” Hoxhaj said.
