Yee: No redrawing of Balkan borders (Klan Kosova)
In an interview to the Greek daily paper Kathimerini, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs, Hoyt Yee, said that his country does not support any redrawing of borders in the region. “Borders of the Balkans countries are clearly defined, internationally recognised, and not a matter of dispute. Change of borders in the Balkans would not contribute to security and stability in the region”, Yee said as originally reported by Albania-based Panorama. The U.S. diplomat went on to call to politicians in the region to refrain from inciting and divisive rhetoric and focus on political and economic reforms necessary for Euro-Atlantic integration.
