Jeremic: We should not accept Vucic’s game (BETA, B92, KoSSev)

Leader of Peoples’ Party Vuk Jeremic said it is wrong to insist on hasty solutions to the Kosovo issue, respectively, to willingly accept redrawing of borders based on ethnic principle, BETA news agency reported. Jeremic added such solutions cannot be sustainable on the long term.

Commenting on a potential referendum on Kosovo, Jeremic noted he believes Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not miss a chance “to hide behind peoples’ will” and that he would call for extraordinary elections and, in this way, “try to simulate peoples’ support for his agreement with Hashim Thaci.”

According to Jeremic, this would be “the most irregular elections up to date,” adding that the international community would turn a blind eye to the massive frauds “since they eagerly want his signature on Kosovo independence that would follow afterwards.”

“I think we should not accept this Vucic’s game. Giving legitimacy to illegal process would mean you are not only accepting the final outcome, but also every decision that institutions elected in that manner would try to implement,” Jeremic underlined.

KoSSev portal also reported that Vuk Jeremic over the weekend payed a two-day visit to Kosovo and Metohija, and Raska-Prizren Eparchy. He met with Raska-Prizren Bishop Teodosije and Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery Father Sava Janjic.
