Dacic: It should be made clear to Pristina, it must not play double games (Tanjug)
Head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic positively assessed the willingness of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to talk to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Paris, Tanjug news agency reports.
He also termed as positive her readiness to be familiar with the course of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. Dacic added that Kosovo and Metohija would be a topic this week as well, and that he would be present at the UN SC session on Kosovo.
“We would remain constructive. We want dialogue to continue, to peaceful resolve all the issues,” Dacic noted.
However, he said, he is not sure when the dialogue would continue, because some external issues should be resolved first, such as current problem with additional taxes imposed on the goods from Serbia.
“Obviously, whenever there is a chance to move a step ahead, Pristina always makes some incidents or steps that represent a setback. And usually one branch of power does one thing, the other one something else. Now, there is Hashim Thaci, who said he does not support additional taxes on goods from Serbia, and the same way they spoke about the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities. The consequence is that, however, whatever was agreed in Brussels is not implemented on the ground,” Dacic underlined.
He also added, in order for dialogue to end successfully, it should be made clear to Pristina it must not play double games and it should be committed to the dialogue, Tanjug reported.
