Vucic arrives in China where he will meet with Xi and Putin (Tanjug, B92)

President Aleksandar Vucic arrived early on Wednesday in Beijing, starting his two-day visit, during which he will meet with Chinese and Russian presidents. Vucic will, in addition to bilateral issues, talk with Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin primarily about Kosovo and Metohija.

At the airport in Beijing, the president of Serbia, who heads numerous ministerial delegations, was greeted with honorary guard of the Chinese Army, and a red carpet.

The second Belt and Road Forum is being held in Beijing, where, according to the announcements made by the hosts, twice the number of state delegations will participate than two years ago at the first meeting, among them high officials from EU member-states, which initially did not participate in this initiative.

The invitation to take part in this gathering came to Vucic from Xi. Among others, the forum will be attended by Russian President Putin, and presidents of Portugal, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Chile, and Egypt.
