Srpska Lista member, Slavko Simic told RTS that the draft resolution proposal by which Pristina accuses Serbia of genocide is an act against the dialogue and normalization of relations. The absence of reaction from the international community, Simic perceives as a sort of support to Pristina, adding no one wishes to build better relations between Serbs and Albanians.

“Their plan is rather clear. After Kosovo Assembly approves the draft resolution, MPs would most probably launch an initiative to adopt a certain law in order to enable mechanisms that would make this resolution alive. Any possible aggressive initiative, any possible aggressive acts is being prepared and used against Belgrade and the Serbian people,” Simic said.

He noted that such political and institutional attitude by Pristina does not contribute to improving relations between Serbs and Albanians, instead it undermines already cold Belgrade-Pristina relations.

Commenting on an initiative to establish an international court against Serbia for alleged crimes committed in Kosovo launched by the Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli, Simic noted Pristina has no right to establish an International Criminal Court.

“The only thing Pristina can do at this moment is to establish within its own institutions a special court, a special department for the war crimes, that would have no credibility whatsoever,” Simic said.

He added, he would wish to see in the future that Kosovo Assembly MPs launch an initiative to establish a committee for reconciliation.
