Vulin: Thaci's statement is the killing of dialogue (KIM radio, TV Pink)
Statement by Hashim Thaci that Community/Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will not be formed is the best test for the authority of the European Union, said Aleksandar Vulin, Serbian Minister of Defense, reports KIM radio, quoting Belgrade based TV Pink.
According to Vulin, if this statement goes without sanctions, it will mean that the EU is leaving the Western Balkans both in diplomatic and security terms.
"Thaci's statement is the killing of the dialogue. We are all carefully watching what will happen now. With this sentence, he wanted to say that the Brussels agreement and all that we have discussed and negotiated so far is not valid, meaning there is no agreement and it is bad news for the EU," Vulin told TV Pink.
He said that if Thaci does not want to implement the Brussels agreement, both Albanians and the EU should think carefully about whether any paper will be valid for Serbia in the future if no ZSO is formed.
Vulin says, when speaking of the Kosovo Police Special Unit incursion in northern Kosovo, that KFOR did not inform Belgrade of this action.
''They said they did not know anything about it, that it was not in their jurisdiction, that it was a police action, and then they said they informed Belgrade about it. How did you inform us about something you do not know anything about? Playing with such an important institution such as KFOR, is irresponsible," Vulin said.
He added that Serbia, however, respects KFOR and wants their forces to remain in Kosovo in a bigger number possible, because, thanks to them, the Serbs remained to live there.
