Popovic-Ivkovic: We will do everything to prevent Kosovo join Interpol (BETA, B92)

Ministry of Internal Affairs State Secretary Biljana Popovic-Ivkovic said Serbia will do everything to prevent Kosovo to join Interpol, B92 reports. Pristina submitted a request to join the Interpol for the fourth time.

“Eventual admission of Kosovo to Interpol would represent a politicization of this international police organization and create a major precedent with unforeseen consequences for other Interpol member states,” Popovic-Ivkovic said during the meeting with the Ambassador of Indonesia to Serbia, Mochammad Chandra Widya.

Popovic-Ivkovic thanked Indonesia for its principled stance “to respect sovereignty and integrity of Serbia,” as well as for voting against Kosovo admission in Interpol last year.

Ambassador Chandra Widya emphasized that Indonesia will always be on the side of justice and respect of the international law, B92 reported.
