UNS and DNKiM: 11 years without an apology (KIM Radio)

Recalling that on 17 March was marked anniversary of the pogrom in Kosovo, UNS (Association of Journalists of Serbia) and DNKIM (Association of Journalists from K&M) pointed out that after 11 years RTK did not publicly apologize for the false news that have served as a trigger for the violence and pogrom.

"The reason for the violence that began on March 17 was false news of Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK), in which local Serbs were accused that they chased six boys from the village of Cabra near Zubin Potok with dogs, after which they drowned in the Ibar/Iber River," was said in a statement.

In March pogrom were killed 19 civilians, more than 900 people were injured, about 800 houses were destroyed or damaged, 35 Orthodox churches and monasteries, and about 4,000 Serbs permanently left their homes.
