The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Marko Djuric, met with the diplomatic representatives of several Latin American countries in Serbia on Wednesday, briefing them on the course of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and the situation in Kosovo.
The diplomats from Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil confirmed that their countries have no intention of reversing their position on non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Serbia's southern province, the Office said in a statement.
During the meeting, Djuric said that Serbia is oriented towards cherishing and furthering the traditionally friendly ties with Latin American countries and that it expects a continuation of their support regarding Kosovo.
The meeting was attended by Argentine Ambassador Ricardo Fernando Fernandez, Cuban Ambassador Adela Mayra Ruiz Garcia, Mexican Ambassador Jose Evaristo Ramon Xilotl Ramirez, Venezuelan Charge d'Affaires Dia Nader De El Andari and Brazilian Charge d'Affaires Arthur Henrique Villanova Nogueira.
