Rasic: Division into Djuric and Vulin's Serbs in Kosovo (Blic)
The leader and deputy of the Progressive Democratic Party in the Assembly of Kosovo, Nenad Rasic said that the absence of Serbian representatives from yesterday's session of the assembly happened due to the division on Djuric and Vulin's Serbs, and that it does not contribute to solving problems of the Serbs in Kosovo.
"There was a strange case today at the session of the Parliament, where not all Serbian representatives were present due to the polarization into Djuric and Vulin's Serbs," said Rasic in Belgrade at the round table on freedom and rights in context of the implementation of the European Convention in Kosovo.
He also said that the practical problems were not taken seriously, including that the Serbs in Kosovo were identified as a threat to the Albanian national interests.
Deputy Director of the Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo, Dusan Kozarev said that the office tries to help, but "when it comes to Serbian fundamental rights and human freedoms, some situations are taking place on the ground that are not European, Democratic and do not belong to the modern world," he added and stated that "in some areas of Kosovo, people at night are afraid to speak Serbian."
According to the Director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations, Dusan Janjic, there are two possible outcomes: either there will be a shift in the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which will lead to the opening of negotiation chapters of Serbia in June, or "the whole process will be stuck until autumn."
