RTK2 reported on Saturday that the decision on tariffs imposed by the Government of Kosovo on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in November last year was still in force.

In the meantime, many international officials have called on authorities in Pristina to revoke this decision, and recently Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, pointed out that Pristina has violated CEFTA and SAA agreements by a decision on tariffs, wrote RTK2.

Political analyst Dušan Janjić believes that during the dialogue, scheduled at the highest level in Brussels for tomorrow, both sides should clarify their attitudes about whether the dialogue will continue to be challenged or will be continued.

Janjić told Beta that there is no information on an agenda for the meeting, suggesting that the next round will be different from all previous.

Political analyst Dušan Janjić says that Community/Association of Serb municipalities could start to operate from April or May next year.

According to the agreement in Brussels, by the end of this month should be harmonized Statute of the ZSO, and in December the Kosovo government should bring the appropriate decree, said Janjić to Radio Kontakt Plus.

"At this moment we have no information whether the statute is harmonized, this information is missing," said Janjić.

The Serb Orthodox Church representative, abbot Sava Janjic, claimed that the Orthodox Church building at the University of Pristina campus was twice confirmed to be under the ownership of the Serb Orthodox Church by UNMIK in 2003 and 2012. Janjic claimed to have in possession a certificate issued by the Kosovo cadastral agency showing that property in question belongs to the Serb Orthodox Church and that the construction permit was given in 1990 by Hamdi Vraniqi, father to one of the officials from the party that most vehemently opposes the church in Pristina.

The US and EU are pushing forward an initiative to pass a new Security Council resolution for Kosovo which would supersede the existing one, 1244. Dušan Janjić, coordinator of the Belgrade-based Forum for Ethnic Relations, said he had first-hand information from international sources that the new document is soon expected to be put up for discussion at the Security Council. “I believe the new resolution will be formally introduced before the UN General Assembly holds its sessions in September.

Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin this weekend in Mitrovica said that the basis of resolving the Kosovo problem is the Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council. Does the statement say little more than already known principled Russian policy towards Kosovo?

Regardless of the fact that the agreement between Pristina authorities and the European Union on the extension of EULEX mission was not reached, the mandate of the mission, which will expire on 14 June, will be extended. “The practice from the previous years was that mandate of the mission is extended by the President’s letter. I think that will happen also this year.  Kosovo president will send the letter, according to which will be accepted the extension of the mission’s mandate for two more years,” said political analyst Dušan Janjić.
