The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Besa Gaxherri, during the Kosovo Assembly session today said no church or mosque will be allowed in the campus of the Pristina University. "We have a secular state. Serbian Church was built under Milosevic's regime, everyone knows what purpose this church had at that time. Kosovo Serbs are obliged to respect the Constitution of Kosovo," she said.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo through a press statement condemned the attempt by a Kosovo Serb to demolish the minaret of a mosque in the village of Velekincë, in Gjilan municipality a few days ago. "Ambassador Schlumberger condemns attack on Velekinca Mosque and commends police and local leadership for response that keeps this incident isolated,” reads the statement. Also the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo condemned the incident.

Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery Sava Janjic believes that talks on Kosovo's admission to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, should be postponed, because Kosovo has not demonstrated political maturity. Serbian Orthodox Church warns of danger of admitting Kosovo to UNESCO (KIM radio, Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug)
The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) has sent a letter on Tuesday to Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, warning that the acceptance of Kosovo's membership bid would endanger the Christian cultural heritage and the Serbs' religious and human rights.
In the letter signed by Patriarch Irinej, the Synod points out that the OSCE has documented systematic post-war destruction of at least 392 Serbian Orthodox cemeteries in Kosovo, which are still in deplorable condition.
