Bishop: Security in Kosovo is getting out of control of the local authorities (Blic)
Bishop of Raska and Prizren Teodosije, strongly condemned terrorist attack on the Serb village Gorazdevac, adding that it shows that the security situation in Kosovo is getting out of control of the local institutions that are unable to provide security to citizens.
After an attack in 2003, when two Serbian children were killed while swimming in the Bistrica River, and several of them wounded, this terrorist attack, in which fortunately no one was injured, shows that remaining Serbs in Kosovo continue to be the extremists’ targets. The reluctance of police and local judiciary to resolve the numerous incidents and attacks on the rare Serbian returnees in previous years, created an atmosphere of lawlessness, which creates space for new attacks and the continuation of terror against the remaining Serbs in Kosovo.
Bishop Teodosije has sent a request to the Kosovo police and KFOR, to do everything in order to prevent new attacks on the Serbs.
