Brussels making concessions for Pristina again (Blic)
EU representatives will try to convince Belgrade officials to accept the decision of the Kosovo Constitutional Court on Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities today in Brussels, learned Blic. Today’s meeting, mediated by the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, will be attended by the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
There were no reactions from Brussels after the Kosovo Constitutional Court ruled in December that some principles of the Agreement on creation of the A/CSM were not in harmony with the Constitution of Kosovo. To this day, Brussels, as a guarantor, has not condemned Kosovo's attempts at unilateral amendment of the agreement. Today, writes Blic, they will go a step further and try to convince Belgrade to accept the amendments.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated he is going to Brussels to talk about the implementation of the agreement and that Belgrade is not going to play around in the continuing dialogue. He also added that Belgrade is always prepared to talk because even the most difficult situations have to be resolved through dialogue. However, a dialogue requires two sides, and it should be clear what the mediator (the EU) wants.
